Inside Recess

Fitted inside the recess using a slim L-shaped frame, shutters can sit as far forward or back in the recess as needed. Can be side-fixed to the wall, or face-fixed to the window frame.

Front of Recess

A Z-shaped frame fits to the recess edge with a 4-sided architrave for a sleek, integrated look. It covers gaps and blocks light—ideal for uneven windows.

Front of Recess with Sill

For windows with a protruding sill, the Z frame fits on 3 sides, with a slim L-bar on the sill for support and a clean finish.

Deciding how many panels to choose for your shutters really is easy. In fact, we've done most of the work for you!

we offer 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 panels, based on your window size (6 is the maximum, to avoid strain on the hinges that connect the panels to the frame, or to each other).

Your main choice is panel width. You might want to match the number of panels to your window panes, but note that having fewer panels means better light control, fewer gaps and improved thermal efficiency.

For the best fit and performance, we recommend choosing as few panels as possible.

Opening Location

1 panel: opens left or right.

2 panels: open from centre, left, or right (centre required if over 450mm wide).

3 panels: 2 hinged together, 1 separate—choose which side the single panel is on.

4 panels: opens from the centre, with 2 panels hinged on each side.

Shutters Over 1850mm Wide

3 panels: single panel on frame edge, pair opens from centre via T-bar.

4 panels: ideally two pairs opening left/right; if too wide, inner panels open inward, outer open to wall.

6 panels: three pairs with 2 T-bars.
